Blackburn Shark 1:48 Mk.II Pre-order
Description
Blackburn Shark – Wheel Version
Highly detailed 3D-printed scale model of the Blackburn Shark, one of the distinctive British naval aircraft of the 1930s.
The Blackburn Shark was a British carrier-based torpedo bomber and reconnaissance aircraft developed by Blackburn Aircraft. Its prototype first flew in 1933, and the aircraft entered service with the Fleet Air Arm in 1934. The Shark was designed for operations from aircraft carriers and was also adapted for seaplane use. It served with the Royal Navy and later with other operators, including the Portuguese Navy and Royal Canadian Air Force. Although it was eventually replaced by the more capable Fairey Swordfish, the Shark continued to serve in training and other secondary roles during the Second World War.
This model represents the landplane / wheel-equipped version of the aircraft and has been carefully developed to reproduce the characteristic shape, proportions and details of the original Blackburn Shark.
